It can be a very difficult time, not only inviting someone into their home, but acknowledging the need for care. The level of care often changes and this too, might be upsetting to the senior, at least initially. Our Care Managers work very closely with their team of caregivers and the families to help ease much of the difficulty in order to accomplish needed tasks in a manner that minimizes the stress felt by the person needing aid.

Our goal is to never come in and try to change someone's lifestyle and/or environment but to take the appropriate measures to ensure total comfort and safety. Unfortunately, as we all age many find themselves confronting more complex needs yet still wish to remain in their personal environment. We all know and can appreciate how difficult it is to know you need care, let alone accept it. To add having to move from the comforts and privacy of your home can be more detrimental than anything. Parents, especially, do not want to burden their children and their respective families with their infirmities as they get older yet they need someone to lean on. A caregiver whether hourly or live-in is by far, the best solution.

As a HomeCare agency owner, I am most familiar with the difficulties of finding the right match for each of our clients.
